NINTENDO NES Classic Mini stock is back in stock, but it’s not looking good for the “very limited” UK stock following Nintendo’s promise to increase production. Nintendo Nintendo said they were looking to increase NES mini production to meet public demand Another week passes and while demand for Nintendo’s NES Classic Mini is still just as great as ever, stock for the retro console is virtually non-existent in the UK. Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond it’s a different story entirely. US customers are steadily seeing an increase in stock as large retailers such as Best Buy and Target begin to claw in some new units. Back in the UK, it’s still incredibly difficult to find stock and even when these “very limited” quantities do appear it’s more or less a handful of consoles across the entire nation. Smyths Toys, for example, had some stock at several stores earlier this month, but the likes of Argos, Amazon and other UK retailers didn’t appear to have anything for sale. The shortage is starting to aggravate potential customers who, while understanding at Christmas when it was the hottest product around, can’t understand how it’s still nowhere to be seen on shop shelves. In response, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima recently told investors exactly why the NES Classic Edition console has proved so difficult to produce in higher quantities, while also apologising for the store shortages.
